This session will introduce various technologies and their application in smart cities. The focus will be on real world examples including energy management, intelligent transportation, disaster recovery, smart homes, and smart grid. Several case studies will be presented to support learning. Finally, the session will present future challenges, with special focus on the challenges to support technology and innovation in future smart cities to integrate context information user experience.

This session is open to TRU employees, students, faculty, as well as the General Public as part of the TRU 50th Anniversary 'Gift of Learning' series.
